X-Mas Collection at the Vocational Training College in Essen

The president of Kamerun4AfrikaClub, Akuma Saningong was invited to give a keynote lecture at the Vocational Training College in Essen (Berufskolleg Ost der Stadt Essen). He gave a quick synopsis about Cameroon as Africa in miniature. Later, he went on to elaborate about the goals of Kamerun4AfrikaClub and the achievements the institution has realised so far. The students and the school authorities were pleasantly surprised and were extremely hospitable.

On their part, the students are going to fabricate articles from their various trades and these shall be sold. The proceeds shall come to the good of the association. We’re abundantly thankful for this gesture and we look forward on what comes out of it.

Handing Over Ceremony of the GTHS Alabukam Water Project

After about 14 months of meetings and construction work, the GTHS Alabukam Water Project finally came to a close. The handing over ceremony took place on the 26th of May 2011. It was a huge occasion with pomp and fanfare in which important dignitaries from the city of Bamenda were present. The Senior Divisional Officer for Bamenda II, the Mayor for Bamenda II, his Royal Highness San Angwafo III Fon of Mankon et cetera were in attendance. The Vice President of Kamerun4AfrikaClub in Cameroon, Dr. Tsi Evaristus Angwafo read a speech in which he pleaded to the school authorities to see into the sustainability of the project. Here is an excerpt of his >speech< and >that< of the Principal Mr Chi Nyamboli. On the part of Kamerun4AfrikaClub, we will still be keeping an eye on the project in case GTHS Alabukam might have some difficulties in its management.

My Talk with the CV-Zirkel in Marl

CV stands for Cartellverband and it is the umbrella organisation of about 123 catholic student fraternities in Germany. I held an interesting talk about Africa with emphasis on Cameroon. Thereafter, I explained the concept of our association. The guests were impressed and this could be seen from the many questions asked. I later made a plea for donations so that our objectives could be carried out.

Christmas Donations from the Firm BEGO in Bremen for the GTHS Alabukam Water Project

BEGO_pos_cmyk_gbWe are very much indebted to all the workers of the firm BEGO who generously donated money for us to finance the building of a water supply facility at GTHS Alabukam, Bamenda, Cameroon. Instead of sharing gifts amongst each other during the Christmas festivities they decided to contribute money so as to assist us. This is a singular gesture and we heavily applaud it. Thank you once more. Read more about the Project here.
